…….Replication…….
We have running ACCPAC on our 2node clustered machine. 100-130 concurrent users access the database (SQL Server 2000).Hardware configuration
Users who make entries have no complaints but the users who work with reports, have complaint for slow reponse, even when they search some an item they claim it takes long time to response. Now I want to split reports from our production server. Let me know what should I do?
Do I need replication if answer is yes then what kind of? or other possible solution. Thanks

How about log shipping, its easy, reliable and ideal to setup. I will not recommend Replication setup on above of cluster, not that it will not work but more hassle to maintain. Refer to books online andhttp://www.sql-server-performance.com/sql_server_log_shipping.asp link about setting up LS. And this linkhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/servicedesks/webcasts/en/wc021501/wct021501.asp too. HTH Satya SKJ

Another good option (although it will take a lot of work) is to create a cube using Analysis Services and have users report off of it. —————————–
