replication problems

Hi I have set up snapshot replication between a main server and a local server(using SQL server personnal edition). Everything worked well but still i turned off my PC (and therefore the local server connection) and then restarted it after the weekend it does not seem to work – error is "SQL server does not exist/access denied". However, the local SQL server is running and it is confusing becasue it did work before i turned my PC off and replicated fine then- is there a reason why it is not working anymore? This is only a test for snapshot replication but should the subscriber be connected all the time? Thanks

Ensure the network protocols used are similar between the servers.
Try to ping from main server to this local box. Satya SKJ

also check how you configured this, since if you had your machine turned off for a while it may now have a different IP address? Twan
