Require Replication Guideline.

Hi, Currently I am working in a Backup-Restoration Setup where the databases are getting backed up (Full Backup once in a week, Differential Backup once daily and Transaction Log Backup every one hour) and being restored back daily in the form of last differential Backup gets appended after restoring the last Full Backup. This process is not found to be handy as it is very much time consuming. Also the data being restored is not up to date. Currently I am going to recommend to use the Replication Process as its substitute. But my main concern is whether it will be handy enough in term of time manageability. Can anybody provide me a proper guideline in this regard. Thanks & Regards, Arindam Ganguly
Hi,
if your main purpose is the backup or accidental failur of HDD then y don’t you use DISK MIRRORING ?

Regards

Hemantgiri S. Why not to use log shipping in this regard, as replication is based on granular level to tables on the database. Satya SKJ
