We have the scheme to implement a SAN .
A storage solution manufacturing suggest us SATA ( SATA 2 for the controller and SATA 1 for the disks ) for the disk technology.
We have 400 users connecting to 10 SQL Databases.
For the connection between servers ( MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 2000 ) and the storage solution ( DATABASES ), it’s Fiber Channel. This solution is cheaper than Fiber Channel disks. Is anyone having experience of this kind of architecture for SQL SERVER ? Thanks for your answers.
