Some thoughts… Feedback is appreciated.

Hello all: I have a couple of thoughts regarding my current environment and would appreciate your thoughts as well. We currently replicate data every 15 mintues between the US and a few International cities. Separately, we have a disaster recovery site in the US. This site had log shipping setup. But, as you’ll see from a former post, is failing miserably. Here’s my thought that I’d like feedback on: If we’re replicating successfully Internationally every 15 minutes, why not add the DR site as a Subscription to the existing Replication and get rid of Log Shipping? Can you see any benefits to log shipping to a standy server as opposed to replication?? Thanks for the brainstorm.
I think Log shipping is easy to manage than replication, in your case make sure the network link between the 2 sites is working fine without any glitch. For a standby solution I suggest always Log shipping and not replication. Satya SKJ
