SQL Server cant start after changing cluster name

Hi, I’m running SQL server on ms cluster, with the name dssql on two Compaq servers.
Due to server upgrade, the database was moved to a couple of new Dell servers, clustered environment also. We had to keep the virtual name, so we renamed the Compaq cluster to dssql2 and dssql was given to the new Dell cluster. The name dssql has a different ip address on the Dell cluster. The Dell cluster works fine, but now the SQL server service on the Compaq cluster (SQL network name is dssql2, no change in ip address) couldn’t start. Can anyone help? Thanks Raymond
