Yes the IIS service is started. If i restart the service, then the report manager works fine. But i get this error almost everyday and i have to restart the IIs service AKTHAR
exact error message:
"Server Application unavailable"
"the web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit refresh button in your browser to retry your request" any advice AKTHAR
Do you have any issues with .NET framework on this server, I presume your report server was installed under the default website.
If so then try to access your report manager using this link: http://localhost:80/reports
If this does not work and you do not think that changing the port on where the web is installed will impact any websites for your reports to deply, try changing the port for companyweb to a different unused port.

I’m using SQL Server 2005 but had the same issue.
When you install SQL Server you get the choice of default install or an INSTANCE install. For example my instance is localhostSQL2005.
You get a database name of ReportServer $2005 but it seems to work ok.
