Tempdb located on local disk

We’re running a clustered SQL Server on Windows 2003 (64bit) environment, and I was wondering if it possible to ‘spoof’ SQL server to use a local disk(i.e RAMDisk) rather than a SAN disk for tempdb datafiles to improve performance.
Not possible that I’m aware of. And even if it was it would not be a supported solution <img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-4.gif’ alt=’:p‘ />
Argyle is correct, there is no supported way of doing this. Instead, try to avoid using the temp table as much as possible. —————————–
