Uninstall sql cluster active/active
Hi every oneI have 2 node cluster sql active/active and I would like
to give it the name of my stand alone production sql server to the default sql name on cluster Node1.
I have do some reaserach on ms web site they recommend to uninstall
sql server on cluster and reisntall in order to give it the new name.
My problem was I have the second sql instant name on NODE2 it on production now
my default instant is on NODE1. What if I do unsintall the default sql name on node1
is there any problem for my second sql instant on NODE2?
My plan was copy all databases include master to my Node1 from my stand alone sql server
and shutdown production sql stand alone server this will release it name for my cluster
install to use then on NODE1 cluster uninstall and reinstall sql default name with this name rebuild master and reattach all user db.
Have any one uninstall default sql name on active/active cluster before please give me
some information to look into and thanks every one here for any help.
