Using Filters AND/OR ???

Probably a simple question…
Does anybody know how to change a filter in Reporting Services to OR rather the AND. I have tried without success, the field is grayed out and always defaults to AND yet the help clearly states AND/OR.
Any help would be appreciated.

In the DataSet designer, did you place the Param names in consecutive columns or type the statement sirectly in using OR?

Works fine in the dataset query, what I was trying to achieve was in the report layout filtering the data returned for a table using OR without affectin ghte dataset returned.
I guess really I should just do it at the dataset stage and have multiple datasets.
