The required parameter %.*ls was not specified.

Severity level:

This error message appears when you try to execute a command without providing a required value for a parameter of that command.

The T-SQL statement can be parsed, but causes the error at runtime.

Errors of the Severity Level 11 are generated by the user and can be fixed by the SQL Server user. The statement cannot be executed this way. The required parameters for the particular command must be provided.

All versions of SQL Server.


In the above example we try to create an endpoint without providing a value for the AS clause.
