As an added bonus to those who participate a lot in the forum (and this is in addition to the current free software), I would like to offer free gifts to forum contributers who made a specified number of posts, such as the following. I have included URLs of the products I am giving away (subject to change).

250 posts level: Free Tee-shirt with SQL-Server-Performance.Com logo

500 post level: Oxford Sports Shirt with SQL-Server-Performance.Com logo

1000 post level: Outrigger Shirt (adventure style)

2500 post level: Polartec Jacket with SQL-Server-Performance.Com logo

For example, once you get 250 posts, you get a tee-shirt. Then when you get 500 posts, you get an Oxford shirt, and when you get 1,000 posts, you get an adventure shirt, and when you get 2,500 posts, you get the Polartec jacket.

If you reach an award level, and you have not received an e-mail from me, please write me and let me know. It is not always easy for me to keep up with all the posts.

    For more information, see:

Any feedback on the specific "awards" or award levels? I am in the process of having the logo designed for the clothing, and once that is done, probably late next week, then I will be able to place an order. At that time, I will then contact each elgible person, and ask them for their sizes, so I can order the right items.

Instead of just logo, I suggest to think of a good caption that tells about the site (Sorry ! I can't think of one).

For example, I received this free T-shirt offer from IMCEDA (SQL LiteSpeed). It looks like there is a cartoon on the T-shirt and the Superman like character in the cartoon says to the other "I can fly back in time and recover lost backups. What do you do ?"

Luis, you are reading it wrong. I changed it from 5,000 to 2,500. You will be elgible for two gifts right away, as before, and one more gift very soon.
For those of you who may not have been following this closely, I had originally proposed another set of posting goals, but as a final decision, I lowered them to what you see in my original post.

I have received the sizes and address of most of the elgible forum members, but there are still a few I have not heard from. So if you have not heard from me (not received my e-mail), or if you have e-mailed me, but not got a confirmation e-mail from me, please e-mail me so that I can get all the orders in. Once I get all the orders, I will place a large order, which will take about 3-4 weeks for me to get, and then I will send them out.

I just got a sample logo from the company, and it looks great. I think this clothing will be really cool.

I got a surprise in the mail today. All of the shirts came in, earlier than expected. Now that means I got to get to work and mail them out. Those in the US may see your shirts next week, while those a little further away may have to wait a little longer.<br /><br />Hey, how about once you get your shirts, you take a photo in them and send them here, where I can post them.[<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-4.gif' alt=':p' />]<br /><br />-----------------------------<br />Brad M. Twan<br /><br />I hope its not, may be because of pack size you've got it was not opened.<br /><br />Previously I received packs from US and never came thru this customs charge, I think this time because of packet size is big I was told by RM they're bound to open the packet for checkup. No shirts for me, but a rather interesting book on the "Facts and Fallacies of software Engineering" landed on my desk yesterday from Amazon.com. I can read this F&F book without an SSP.com shirt and maybe buy one for myself when I start selling solid code one day.

Thank you, Brad and everybody else for making this gift possible.
