    Hi Satya
From what you say Rebuild indexes can be used offline - for high fragmentation. I want to know if the process for rebuild is exactly the same as reorganise indexes - does it allocate fillfactor in exactly the same way? I suspect it doesn't but from what you have said it is not 100% clear to me. I don't clearly see the difference between reorganisation and rebuild.
Thanks - I appreciate your advice as I want to be able to clarify why you should not use reorganisation and rebuild in the same maintenance plan.

Satya's away all week at PASS. Are any of the rest of us allowed to answer?

Trev256 was referring to the other 'Satya' in the forum, i.e. myself. I have replied to one of his questions before:

Trev, please do not duplicate posts. I happened to look at your reply but could not answer because I got stuck in some deployments. I will try to see if I can squeeze in sometime today. Lets continue the discussion in the old thread to avoid confusion,
OMG! Satya Sr. you are not allowing to have my identity [] [:)]
