Last week last I passed an interview for a junior dba sql server job and the dba asked me these questions. 1.You#%92ve been given the task of automating a refresh of a sql server database on a test server with a copy of the live database from the production server? How would you go about doing this? What database options would you change on the test server to reduce management tasks in the test environment? 2.List the top 5 SQL Agent alerts you would configure on a server and why you feel they are important 3.If you were given the task of designing a new database server for a highly transactional database that supports a large number of users. Describe how you would configure it. OS configuration, disk configuration, RAID Controllers, Database Locations on controllers, pagefile, etc… Please be detailed. Which would be your answers for these questions? Thanks very much for your help
