I have a SSAS project which I want to deploy to the production enviroment.
My requirment is to have the configurations (ie. Database connection strings )in a XML file so that we don't have to change them again and again. ( There is simmilar feature avaiable in SSIS)

There is a file type Analysis Services Database Deployment Configuration Settings in the bin folder which has the configurations.
Is it ok to change this

Yes you could use that, but I suggest to test it before making it live.
