DISKPART - how can I confirm alignment?

    Hi Folks-

The title says it all. I want to ensure that this site has properly aligned their disks using the DISKPART tool (they SAID they did it). However, I don't see anywhere that lists the offset of the current partition. I want to confirm that the admin guys aren't giving me the runaround.

    Can anyone help here?

    Thanks!

jeez, whatever happened to peace on earth, free love, and trusting the sys admin?

put the following into a text file with .vbs extension
    then execute as: cscript filename.vbs
don't fret every disk, just the big db files

    strComputer = "."
    Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" _
    & "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\" & strComputer & "
    ootcimv2")

Wscript.Echo "Antecedent, Dependent, StartingAddress, EndingAddress "

    Set colDiskPartitions = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
    ("SELECT * FROM Win32_LogicalDiskToPartition")

    For each objPartition in colDiskPartitions
    Wscript.Echo objPartition.Antecedent _
    & ", " & objPartition.Dependent _
    & ", " & objPartition.StartingAddress _
    & ", " & objPartition.EndingAddress

    Next
