I WAS TRYING TO CREATE A NEW DATABASE ON SQL 2000 BUT I AM HAVING THIS PROBLEM/ ERROR
ERROR 5105: DEVICE ACTIVATION ERROR. THE PHYSICAL FILE NAME 'D:MUSERVERDBMUONLINE_DATA.MDF' MIGHT BE INCORRECT...
WHY IS THAT???? I MEAN....I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CREATE SO MANY TIMES....REBOT SO MANY TIMES BUT I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
SOMETIMES, THE PROMPT EVEN TELLS ME THAT 'FILE IS UNACCESSABLE OR MAYBE NOT ENOUGH MEMORY SPACE.
PLZ...I DO APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME CREATE A NEW DB....THAKS

    Does 'D:MUSERVERDBMUONLINE_DATA.MDF' exist?
Could you post the script or process - you are using to CREATE DATABASE?

    Hi There
I receive the same error when trying to attached a database.
ERROR 5105: DEVICE ACTIVATION ERROR. THE PHYSICAL FILE NAME 'D:xxx xxx xxx.MDF' MIGHT BE INCORRECT...
In a previous forum someone mentioned that this might have something to do with the permissions on the d: drive.
I am not sure if sql need more permission of the local system account.

anyone got an idea as to what i can do.
    Regards,
    Zane
