SQL Server Performance

for satya -- did you stop any service when you changed virtual IP address

    Hi satya
    i saw you changed the IP address of SQL server virtual instance. i want to know if you stop any service when you processed IP change. IP change failed when we tried to perform it -- let all services on or stopped some services. could you please refresh your memory and recommend us what we need to do except follow KBA 244980.
