I don't see any problem in stating that as the database size is limited by storage, in this case I strongly suggest to involve Microsoft CAT team for more help.

    For what it's worth,
SQL Server 2005 has a database size limit of 524,258 TB
SQL Server 2008 has a database size limit of 524,272 TB
    I hope this helps!

    1 petabyte (PB) = 1000 terabytes(TB)
so sql server 2005 db size limit = 524 PB
what is expected time for full backup ? [;)]
