In the last14 days I was testing Ignite PI from Confio. Is a 7x24web monitoring tool to find out what’s going on in production server. This toolfind out expensive sql queries (or some part of store procedure) and tell youif was waiting for memory, CPU, etc. All is graphicsand drill down, so for any query you can find: time, waits, users, data bases,locks, etc. Also you can choose between actual (real time) and Trend (last ndays). You have toinstall in other server or PC with SQL Service on it. No laptop allowed and nothingis installed in the production server. I’m happy withthis product. Is nice to find some queries, used a lot, but with less duration andoptimize them to improve overall performance. Is easy toinstall, easy to use (even reading nothing from BOL), and in fact easy tounderstand. I wouldlike to clarify this: I love to test SQL tools. Nothing commercial in thisshort report.
