I'm off to Dublin to run a marathon. Its unlikely I'll be signed on while I'm gone. I should be caught up on work, and back here by the end of the month. Chris
Good luck for your marathon. And don't forget to visit the Dublin Castle, Guinness Storehouse, Phoenix Park, Temple Bar and I felt most fascinating part of the castle is underground - recent flooding in the castle prompted excavations of the former Powder Tower, which revealed a chunk of the old city walls and moat. Yes, good luck. I wish I had the energy, and time, to run a marathon. ----------------------------- Brad M. McGehee, MVP Webmaster SQL-Server-Performance.Com

Thanks for all the great wishes. It was a 'marathon trip' too and I'm back already (and at work) Well, I finished the marathon and beat my previous marathon time, but I'm not really happy with my finish time. But since I was doing this as a fundraiser, I'm just happy to have finished. On a better note,I did manage to get some of the touring in. I really need to get back again to do the city and the country justice though. Tuesday was a push through to see as much as I could possibly fit in. We were staying in Temple Bar (and I mean in Temple Bar) so got to see lots of bars (but I mostly behaved until after the marathon!). Luckily I'm a deep sleeper, but some of our team (we were a fundraising team for the arthritis society) didnt get much sleep in the days before the race since it was a holiday weekend. I found that I actually like Guiness. I'm an ale drinker over lager, but never thought I'd like stuff that dark. Its back to work now. Got to catch up on my reading. The next marathon I'll be doing will be in Vancouver in May. Between now and then, its just regular running and a few half-marathons (supposed to do a 1/2 marathon the end of November) Thanks again! Chris
