Up until now, I have been the only moderator of this forum, but as the forum has grown, I think it is time to add one or more additional moderators.

A moderator's job is to evaluate whether or not a post is appropriate. If it is not appropriate at all, it needs to be deleted. If it is appropriate, but needs to be put into another category, then the moderator can do this. It would be nice if a moderator would be able to log in at least once a day in order to see what is going on, but I can't expect you to do this every day, but 5 days out of 7 would be great.

If you are intersted, please post your interest here, along with what topics or topics you are interested in moderating.

If I get lots of interest in this, I may add more than one moderator to a topic, or may have to limit how many moderators there are. I will give preference to those people who contribute the most to the forum. Thanks!

    Satya & Gaurav,

As you have requested, I have made both of you moderators of the topics you have suggested. In a couple of cases, you are both moderators of the same topic, but that is good as there are more people to keep watch. If you want me to change any of the topics you moderate, please let me know. Also, if you have any questions, please ask.

Been offline for 2 days. Hope it is not too late. Despite being new to the forum I wouldn't mind moderating any of the following:

    Performance Tuning for Developers
    General Developer Questions

OK, I think I have given everyone what they want to moderate. I think I will limit to three people to be a moderator of any one topic, hopefully that will work out. If not, please let me know.

If you want, go ahead and look at older postings (besides new ones) and see if they are in the correct category, and if not, feel free to move them.

When you do move any post, the original author of that post is notified.

Thanks everyone for participating. You are a great help to me, and the other members of this forum.
