Is Downtime a Thing of the Past?

In the past, January was always a quiet month as many people were still on annual leave and those that were at work were still in holiday mode. January was an opportunity to catch-up on all the things that were outstanding from the previous year and start planning for the next eleven months. Not so anymore, it seems. It being the first day back from annual leave I decided to have a late start today only to find that my voicemail already had a number of new messages. So it looks like my list of maintenance tasks has just been put on hold. Are you finding that downtime is being reduced in your organization and that the typically quiet months are no longer as quiet?
