i'm try to implementing log-shipping from the log shipping article on this site athttp://www.sql-server-performance.com/sql_server_log_shipping.asp,
i also have the same problem with step no 3 (Copy Backup Operating System Command).
i try to resolve using command similar to
    EXEC xp_cmdshell 'copy \Sql-1R\MSSQL7BACKUPStopShop.BAK R:MSSQL7BackupLogShipping'
    (solution fromhttp://www.sql-server-performance.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6489)

but the file is not copied to standby server and the error message is "Access Denied, 0 file copied".
if i copy the file directly from command prompt, it works fine.
i'm using administrator login on both server.

perhaps someone can help me to solve this problem ?

    Thank You

    Hi Hagsev

I had this problem until I changed the log on for the MSSQLSERVCE service from the local system account to a domain account that had permissions for both servers.

    Hope this helps

If an account is used on the both the systems with similar name then it should work, provided both the accounts must have privileges on both the machines.

Ensure to enable Server1 administrator as server2 adminsitrator and vice-versa in order to copy the files between the servers.#
