    It should work as the BACKUP/RESTORE statement has no changes between Standard and Enterprise. In this case EE as primary and SE as secondary will do the rest.

    in BOL it says need both to be ENT editions.

    True and you can use log shipping in standard edition using Microsoft BackOffice Resource Kit (BORK) 4.5.

    We have our own log shipping pattern code between EE and SE... working like a charm, I never trust wizards generated from Enterprise Manager.
