Can I setup Logshipping in SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition without setup a Monitor Server? Or the pair of Servers those are involved in Logshipping can be Monitor Server?

hai chandan, if u apply logshipping through maintenance plan wizard ,there is an option(mandatory) called --- choose monitoring server. u can select different server other than those two involved in logshipping or u can choose primary or secondary server as monitor server. if u r choosing monitoring server other than those two involved in logshipping , personal edition of sql server 2000 is enough. krishna chaitanya sanka project engineer-SQLDBA
