SQL Server Performance

.Mdf datafile object move into .ndf file.

    Hi,

    I just like to one thing. I created a table a1 on general database into general_data.mdf file. Is it possible? I can move that a1 table to same database into gene_data.ndf file.

    Yes, you can but you have to create .ndf file on to different file group (Secondary).

    You can't move the objects to different files within the same filegroup.

    Forgot to mentioned...
    To move table from one filegroup to another....
    Create the clustered index on to different filegroup...
