    Greetings all,
I am running a SQL 2005 instance and have found the handy disk space utlization report and one of the sections in the report allow you to see recent data and log file growths. I looked around in the DMVs and couldn't find one that looked like it could be used to gather the report data. Anyone know how the reports are generated? I'd prefer not to run performance monitor all the time to look at growths and would like to dump the growth data to another table for analysis later. Thanks in advance!

Do you want to have you own report or unable to get the complete information from the Performance Dashboard reports? Most of the reports that are generated using SSMS are obtained by DMVs and internal tables compilations, further look into Books online (updated) for sys.dm_db_file_space_usage dmv.
