I have just started a new contract and on one of our developer 2008R2 SP1 Enterprise servers, if you select from sysdac_instances I get the error below:

    Msg 468, Level 16, State 9, Procedure sysdac_instances, Line 24

Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI" and "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" in the equal to operation.

    Msg 4413, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

Could not use view or function 'msdb.dbo.sysdac_instances' because of binding errors.

Now normally this wouldnt be too much of a problem but if you use SSMS 2012 to right click on any database except for the system databases you get this message, so you cant even see the database properties through the GUI.

If you use the native SSMS 2008R2 on the server its fine.....So I am guessing from 2012 SQL Server automatically checks this view before opening the 'right click' menu of a database. If I select * from msdb.dbo.sysdac_instances from the 2008 R2 SSMS then i get the collation error too.
