Hi All
if anyone knows what is wrong with this syntax:
    i im in domain abcd
    computer name long-1
    login id is newlong

i tried to send out the message through windows prompt. it always failed. the syntax i used is

    >net sent /abcd:newlong i'm sending message.

*********the syntax for net send is
    >net send /domain:name message.

    did i use wrong syntax?

please give me a hint. thanks,

    Hi,
you don't need to give userid/login id
net send /domainomainname <message> will send a message to whole domain
in your case net send /domain:abcd <message>

Regards

Hemantgiri S.
