   I am getting following error when trying to capture few counters in perfmon.
   
   The description for Event ID (1001) in Source (SQLCTR70) could not be
   found. It contains the following insertion string(s): Specified counter not found in shared memory..
   
   Can somebody help me with a solution.

   Not a problem I presume you're using SQL version 7, refer to this KBA to resolve the issue
