    Hi All,
Our current production SQL Server is SQL 2000 sp4
And soon we are planning to migrate to SQL 2005 sp2
    We have a unique situation
We r using pwdencrypt and pwdcompare for encrypting password
In sql 2000 this functions are non case sensitive and in
sql 2005 these functions are case sensitive
I check collection for my test and production database it is 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS'
Our clients using sql 2000 pwdencrypt for years now how to make sql 2005 pwdencrypt function non case sensitive
I know these are undocumented functions but at our client place it is implemented well before I join and now they are not ready for change.
    Thanks for your help

Both functions were never officially documented and thus supported. Therefore I don't know exactly what happened behind the scenes between the two versions, but probably this posting can help: http://groups.google.ch/group/microsoft.public.sqlserver.security/msg/e1dc4bf23870a6a3
