SQL Server Performance

sql server 2008 Windows groups

    I have created a windows security group in AD and added myself as a user to this group. I then added this group to sql 2008 and made this the owner of a DB. However, when I try to login to sql server as that user I get access denied.
    Not sure if I am missing something to get Windows groups to work.

    Make sure login is not disabled in SQL.

    Are you able to connect to the instance or getting access denied on the database level?

    getting access denied for the user xxx.
    however, if i explicitly add that user and log in the sql server with windows authentication...that works

    do you mean that you made a group to owner of a perticualr datababse?
