SQL Server Agent

    Am new to clustering and have a question about SQL Server Services, in Administrative Tools --> Services the SQL Server Service and the SQL Server Agent are both set to manual startup.

    Are these services controlled by the clustering software or should they be set to auto start as in a stand alone sql server.

    Yes, On cluster these services will be set to manual start up because MSCS manages it because sql services will have the dependencies on the others like NETWORK NAME, IP ADDRESS, MSDTC AND DISKS etc...
