I am new to SQL Server. I installed client tool and server service manager.
My enterprise manager works fine. My package has a readfile containing:
    1. server name
    2. databasename
On starting, server connection first starts internet connection..after a few second the database connection fails. Kindly help

Hi,<br />Warm Welcome to the Forum , your question is not much clear , you will have to give some more details to get a good answer , the details like :<br /><br />1) what error message it throws ?<br />2) Is their anything in SQL Server Error Log ?<br />3) Is their anything in Windows Event Viewer ?<br /><br /><img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif' alt=':)' /><br />Regards<br /><br /><br /><br />Hemantgiri S. i am thinking that the OS network was not installed,
possibly the network card was not in or driver not found,

in such cases, any attempt to use network services causes the internet connection to launch, offering to install dial up etc,
but i usually don't pay much attention to os installs
