Well I am somewhat new into DBA stuff just but have been wondering about VLDBs and need to put in some research on the same. I have opted for SQL Server as the starting point well to be honest 2008 will be the choice but not neglecting the 2005 as well and their migrations too. I would appreciate if some of you help me out with refernces for beginner to expert level..how / from where shall I start...books or links...any suggestion how to go about the basicc concepts and then hone up to advanced skills...requirements to ramp up to this whole new thing.....
    Please help.

First place to start is Books Online along with the SQL Server homepage. Apart from that, this site is more than just a forum. Have you been to the articles section yet?
