Have you guys looked at this powerful script?

    Trace-scrubbing Tools
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnsqlpro04/html/sp04j1.asp

This scrips helps strippping less significant details of all trace records and allows grouping by transaction type. For example, if trace file contains 50,000 records about execution of the same stored procedure (each with different parameters), then the script groups them into one line with duration, CPU, reads and writes–all totaled and averaged. This lets the DBA quickly identify the transaction types that are responsible for a large percentage of overall system utilization.
