    Hi,

How can I use local packages in an external scheduler?

For all jobs in the company we use an external scheduler (CONTROL M ).
Once per week I must send data from oracle database to sql server database. For this I use DTS.
All work fine but I don#%92t know to use this in our external scheduler.
    Thanks for your help

    BOL:
quote:To execute a DTS package saved as a COM-structured storage file, use:

    dtsrun /Ffilename /Npackage_name /Mpackage_password

To execute a DTS package saved in the SQL Server msdb database, use:

    dtsrun /Sserver_name /Uuser_nName /Ppassword /Npackage_name /Mpackage_password

To execute a DTS package saved in Meta Data Services, use:

    dtsrun /Sserver_name /Uuser_nrame /Ppassword /Npackage_name /Mpackage_password /Rrepository_name
If I got the question right, the answer is: schedule dtsrun with proper parameters.
