SQL Server Performance

what are Microsoft recommendation on how to format partition

    Hi,
    I've HP Server with SmartArray Raid controller.i use 2 disk in mirror for the system operation and SQL Server Binaries,2 disk in mirror for the SQL Server Log files(LDF), 4 disk in raid5 for the SQL Server Data files (MDF).
    after that i create those Raid Array i need to format the partition,is there any meaning on how i format those partition concerning the Allocation Unit Size?

    All Server volumes formated NTFS with allocation unit size 64 KB.

    What kind of database is this, OLTP or DSS?
    Is it fully transactional or read only type of data?

    it's OLTP database and fully transactional.
