what event error should i monitor on

    from you wide experience in SQL what error number should i monitor in the alerts to my sql server,from all the sys.messages.

    Everything that is classed as warning and error!

    this is to much not all warning are critical.
    can anyone be more specific?

    Anything about malfunction of hardware or databsae can be reported, if you can be specific about what kind of errors or warnings are reported it gives much idea for us.
