For developing SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services reports:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with its latest service pack.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services with its latest service pack.
For developing SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services reports:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 with its latest service pack.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services with its latest service pack.
For developing Visual Studio 2005, Local Reports RDLC (ReportViewer controls):
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 with its latest service pack.
- Visual Studio 2005 ReportViewer controls.
For this review, I have used SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services and Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
Installation and Configuration
Installation and configuration of this tool is simple and takes about one minute. The paths in the following screenshot are inserted automatically. You probably will not need to change them
After configuration, you’ll get a menu where you can select the options you want.
