Dependencies Treeview
On the right you can see a Treeviev:
representing both, children and parents dependencies in its typical style. You can use this Treeview to quickly navigate through the objects of your analysis project. Simply click on the object in question here in the Treeview and it will instantly be selected in the main grid. When you use ApexSQL Clean to analyze a large(r) database with many objects, you will certainly appreciate this functionality.
The Dependency Viewer
Some lines above I’ve mentioned the “Dependency Viewer”. If you have exposure to some ER modelling tool, you can’t help but noticing the obvious similarities here:

- Circular
- Force Directed
- Hierarchical
- Orthogonal
Again, if you have ever used an ER modelling tool before or use one regularly, you feel comfortable with this tool right from the start and know what to expect when you change the viewer model paradigm. Since I assume, most people reading this paper are more or less familiar with such a modelling tool anyway, here’s a screenshot where I’ve changed the model type to “Hierarchical”:
By right-click on any object in the Dependency Viewer you can view that objects DDL:
